Brett Knostman came to Vision Racing in 2007 with a wide array of experience in the world of motorsports. Including an open-wheel stint with Fernandez Racing, Knostman also worked in the engine shop for Toyota Racing Development (TRD), worked for driver Robby Gordon and crewed an entry in the Baja 1000.
Knostman is currently a front-end mechanic at Vision Racing for the No. 20 machine and during pit stops is responsible for elevating (with the air jack) driver Ed Carpenter and the day-glow Menards car so that his fellow crew men can change the Firestone Firehawks.
Knostman and wife Sarah have a son, Nicholas, along with Knostman’s older son, Ryan. He also has two dogs, Buddy and Bear. When not at the track, Knostman enjoys catching up on sleep and riding his Honda CRF 250X dirt bike.
